Marketing Coordinator – Part Time

We are seeking a skilled and creative Marketing Coordinator to support the development of high-quality publications, advertising, and digital communications for the school. As a key member of the Community Relations Team, you will help deliver content and campaigns that enhance the profile of Rangi Ruru Girls’ School and engage internal and external audiences.

This role works closely with the Communications Manager, Graphic Designer, and wider team to ensure all marketing outputs are aligned with our brand, strategic objectives, and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and development of concepts for publications, advertising, presentations, signage, and digital content
  • Meet with internal clients to understand communication needs and interpret creative briefs
  • Manage and update school websites and digital platforms to ensure they remain engaging, accurate, and current
  • Assist with newsletters, eDMs, and marketing collateral, including writing, proofing, collating, and distribution
  • Create, schedule, and implement social media content in collaboration with marketing leadership

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in communications, marketing, or digital media (1–3 years), with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Skilled in copywriting, proofreading, and managing digital platforms such as WordPress.
  • Familiar with social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Detail-focused, organised, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud and/or experienced in photography or video editing (advantageous).
  • Professional, purpose-driven, and reflective of the Rangi Ruru values and brand.

Science Technician & Laboratory Manager

About the Role

The Science Technician/Laboratory Manager plays a key role in delivering high‑quality technical and administrative support to the Science Faculty. This position supports teachers by ensuring that practical lessons are well‑planned, well‑resourced, and carried out safely and efficiently.

Working closely with the Head of Learning Area – Science, the role helps relieve pressure on teaching staff and contributes to a smooth and organised delivery of all practical components across the department. Regular liaison with Science teachers ensures effective resource sharing and cohesive planning, supporting the faculty to deliver an outstanding learning experience for students.

Beyond technical support, the role includes responsibility for managing the overall organisation of laboratory spaces, equipment, and safety processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, set up, and pack down materials and equipment for all science practicals.
  • Maintain, inventory, and safely store laboratory equipment, chemicals, and resources.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day management of laboratory spaces, ensuring they are clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Support the Head of Learning Area – Science with administrative duties and resource coordination.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including maintaining safety documentation and facilitating safe laboratory practices.
  • Coordinate the efficient sharing and use of equipment across the Science Faculty.

  • Highly organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Knowledgeable in laboratory procedures and safety practices (or willing to undertake training).
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with teaching staff.

Rangi Ruru Board of Governors:  Three Vacancies

Rangi Ruru Girls’ School is seeking applications for three vacancies on the Board of Governors.  The Board of Governors provides strategic leadership and governance oversight of the school, ensuring its long‑term sustainability, educational excellence, and alignment with the school’s values.


Skills and Experience Sought

Applicants should demonstrate governance capability and bring skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Property development or construction expertise
  • Legal, finance or business expertise

A commitment to girls’ education, independent education, and the values of Rangi Ruru is essential.

Board Representation

To ensure a balanced and representative Board, applications are sought from a mix of candidates, including:

  • An Old Girl, to act as the RROGA Representative
  • A current parent, to act as the PTA Representative
  • An independent candidate

Time Commitment

Board members are expected to commit to:

  • Eight or nine full Board meetings per year
  • One weekend strategy day
  • Committee meetings and events, as required

Meetings are held in person.

Governor positions are voluntary and no remuneration is paid to Governors.
