Weekend Day Chef

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Weekend Day Chef to join our boarding community at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School. This term-time position is for Saturdays and Sundays 6.30am to 1.30pm. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious, appealing breakfasts and lunches for our boarders across the weekend.

Working within our 24/7 boarding environment, you will play an important part in the day-to-day wellbeing of our students by providing high-quality, well-presented meals that help them feel cared for and nourished. Good food is central to a happy, healthy boarding house, and you will contribute directly to a warm, welcoming atmosphere where our girls can thrive.

The successful applicant will take pride in their cooking, maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene, and enjoy being part of a supportive team committed to caring for young people. You will be reliable, organised, and able to work independently to deliver consistent, quality meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook nutritious evening meals for boarding students each weekend.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen presentation.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious, appealing evening meals for our boarders across the weekend.

Working within our 24/7 boarding environment, you will play an important part in the day-to-day wellbeing of our students by providing high-quality, well-presented meals that help them feel cared for and nourished.
