Rangi Ruru Girls’ School has been providing excellent education to girls from 1889. With an outstanding academic record, Rangi is considered one of the top schools in New Zealand
Along with academic excellence, we also offer our students quality facilities, excellent teaching staff and small class sizes. We provide a broad curriculum and extensive co-curricular activities including over 40 different sports; a wide range of musical opportunities, speech, drama and dance.
Rangi Ruru has a strong pastoral care and wellbeing network and we are able to offer our international students any additional support they may need while they are in New Zealand. International students may live with a school-approved New Zealand homestay family or in Rangi Ruru’s modern, on-site boarding house (limited places are available).
The year prior to entry, all pre-enrolled applicants are interviewed by the Principal, Dr Sandra Hastie. This interview is a great opportunity for us to get to know your daughter, talk with you about your expectations for schooling and to help answer your questions.
For all Year 7 and Year 9 applications, day and boarding, it is recommended submitting an application two years prior to entry. Rangi Ruru’s priority for enrolment is siblings, Old Girl connections then general admission applications.
