Around one year prior to starting as a student, both parents/caregivers and students are invited for an interview with our Principal. The interview is an opportunity to get to know each other a little better, and ensure Rangi Ruru is the right fit for your daughter. If your interview is successful you will receive an offer of placement within two weeks, which you will have two further weeks to consider before the offer is withdrawn.

In Term 4 the year prior to starting all successful applications for the following year are welcomed to our New Entrant Evening, for both parents/caregivers and students. This is a great opportunity for students to meet their fellow classmates, and be welcomed into their Clan.

Open Day | School Tour

Attending our Open Day (Term 1), or taking a School Tour (Tuesday’s and Thursday’s during term time all year) are great opportunities to see our school in action, on a typical school day. You’ll get the opportunity to meet our staff and students, and get a feel for what it means to belong at Rangi Ruru. You won’t see us putting on too much of a ‘show’ at our open event and on tours, as we want you to see the school as your daughter will enjoy it everyday.

Experience Rangi Day

Once your daughter has been offered a place at Rangi Ruru, she is welcome to spend a day with us as a student on an Experience Rangi Day. Scholarships are available at all year levels, however our new entrants that wish to apply for scholarships complete an examination in Term 3, the year prior to starting.
