Where It’s Needed Most
We welcome all gifts of any size. We especially appreciate gifts towards the school’s greatest current need. Not only does this provide a much more secure footing for the school to plan ahead, but it also enables it to respond swiftly and flexibly to changing circumstances. Your donation, combined with those of others, make a significant and immediate impact upon the quality of the Rangi Ruru experience for students.
Sports
Rangi Ruru has a very proud tradition of sporting excellence with our teams consistently performing highly on the local and national stage, and numerous students representing Canterbury or New Zealand. Aside from these individual and team successes we consistently achieve participation rates that sit above 85%, indicating a tradition of not just achievement but of involvement at all levels.
Music
Rangi Ruru’s music programme places an emphasis on the development of the whole girl though an integrated approach to wellbeing through music. Donating to Rangi Ruru’s music programme ensures the continuation and growth of curricular and co-curricular music programmes to challenge and inspire creativity in our students through music.
Sustainability
Rangi Ruru is proud to be an Enviroschool, a Fairtrade School, a KNZB Sustainable Schools Award finalist, and a finalist in the New Zealand Sustainable Business Network. Donating to Rangi Ruru’s sustainability programme will support the school and students to engage in practices to improve the quality of many lives, protect our eco system and preserve natural resources for future generations.
Principal’s Koha Fund
The Principal’s Koha Fund allows us to support current families / whānau during times of hardship. This is a confidential arrangement between the school and family and provides support and peace of mind during difficult times.
