Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Rangi Ruru - Merivale Lane Theatre
Teenagers experience emotions intensely, and parents are often left wondering how best to respond.
This one-hour parent evening is a supportive and practical introduction to emotional regulation in adolescence for parents of Year 9 and 10 students.
In this Whānau Ako, you’ll be given simple explanations and real-life strategies, that will help you feel more confident supporting your daughter’s emotional growth at home. You will learn what’s normal for the developing teenage brain, why emotions can feel so big, and how you can respond in ways that build connection rather than conflict.
